Our Story
iTeen Media began as a passion project between two friends in West Carson, California, who shared a deep interest in music, television and youth culture. In 2011, they launched a small Blogspot site called Zapteen, dedicated to covering trending music, popular series and entertainment that resonated with young audiences.
What started as a simple blog quickly attracted readers from around the world. The platform grew organically as more young fans discovered a space where youth culture, entertainment and new trends were discussed from a fresh and enthusiastic perspective.
As the project evolved, the team expanded and the platform itself began to transform. By 2017, Zapteen had developed into a fully independent website with broader editorial ambitions. The project introduced interviews, features, multimedia storytelling and collaborations with creators who shared the same vision of exploring youth culture in new ways.
The Birth of iTeen Media
After several years of experimentation and creative development, the project entered a new phase. With the arrival of new collaborators and additional resources, the platform expanded beyond its origins as a blog.
This transformation led to the creation of iTeen Media, a broader initiative focused on building a digital ecosystem dedicated to youth-oriented media, creative storytelling and emerging creators.
By 2020, the network included contributors and collaborators across several regions, including the United Kingdom, the United States, Russia, Ukraine, Japan and the Philippines. This international mix of perspectives helped shape the identity of iTeen as a global youth-focused media project.
What We Do
Today, iTeen Media operates as a multi-platform media network exploring different formats of storytelling and digital culture. Our projects include editorial platforms, creative productions, collaborations with creators and digital initiatives that highlight emerging voices and youth-driven trends.
